Before UNH
Jackson-Oates came to UNH from England, where she competed for Nova Centurion under coach Joseph Stanford.
One of the top age-group breaststrokers in England, Jackson-Oates represented Team England in March 2024 at an international competition in Sweden. She also reached the finals of the British National Championships in the 400 individual medley and earned a Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE).
As a junior, she finished second in the 200 breaststroke at the English National Championships.
Academically, she ranked third in her class based on GCSE examination results.
Personal
Born in Nottingham, England, and raised in Redhill, England. Daughter of William Oates and Zoe Jackson-Oates. Has one sister, Megan.
Jackson-Oates is majoring in history.
In the summer of 2022, she spent four weeks volunteering in Borneo, where she also learned how to scuba dive.
Her family has a distinguished history of public service. Her grandmother was awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) and was recognized at Buckingham Palace.
Outside the pool, Jackson-Oates enjoys baking. Her favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice, her favorite television show is The Big Bang Theory, and she lists Formula One driver Oscar Piastri as her favorite athlete.
Fun Fact
During the summer of 2022, Jackson-Oates traveled to Borneo for a four-week volunteer experience and earned her scuba diving certification.
