Hart's 200 Free Win Helps 'Cats Stay Second at AE Championships (Day 3 of 4)

Hart wins second gold by taking victory in 200 freestyle
LEXINGTON, Va. – Sophomore Lydia Hart (Cornwall, Ontario) reclaimed her AE tile in the 200 yard freestyle (1:47.80) and senior caption Audrey Mahoney (Downers Grove, Ill.) earned silver (1:49.55), just ahead of Bryant's Jill Carline, to help lead UNH swimming and diving through day three of 2026 America East Swimming and Diving Championships at the VMI Aquatic Center.
Bryant leads the way through three days of competition with 582 points, followed by UNH (455), Vermont (414), UMBC (338), Binghamton (291), Maine (209) and VMI (116)
VISIT AMERICA EAST CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL
In the 400 yard individual medley, there were two podium finishers; junior Sydney Leblic (Madrid, Spain) was able to earn second (4:23.23) nearly two seconds faster than her prelim time (4:25.04). Senior Trinity Devanney (Gulf Breeze, Fla.) also earned a third-place finish (4:24.73), roughly five second drop than her prelim time (4:29.03). Leblic was able to lead a UNH distance showing that included sophomore Teagen Jeffers (Bedford, N.H/ 7th, 4:29.35) and sophomore Lily Jackson-Oats (Redhill, England/ 8th, 4:31.47) in the A-final.
Mahoney also anchored the 400 yard medley relay quartet with sophomore Amelia Labno (Rosemount, Minn.), senior Emily Loren Wright (Ventura, Calif.), and junior captain Grace Mahon (Orange, Conn.) to secure second place (3:42.99). Mahon was also able to earn second place in the 100 yard butterfly (53.51).
