The 2025-26 season marks Anna Magle-Haberek’s third year as the Director of Cross Country / Track & Field at the University of New Hampshire.
Under her leadership in the 2024–25 season, UNH won the America East Women’s Cross Country Championship, set 14 school records across indoor and outdoor track & field, placed second in Women's Outdoor Track and field, qualified five student-athletes for the NCAA East First Round, and sent one athlete to the NCAA Championships, freshman Ruth White, who placed ninth in the 10,000 meters.
Magle-Haberek serves as the program’s event area coach for jumps and sprints. She has coached the last two women’s long jump school record holders — Olivia Chamberlain and Sarah Moore — and Kevin McGrath, the men’s high jump school record holder. She also coached the women’s 4x100-meter relay to a new school record in 2025.
She was named Interim Director in February 2023 and assumed the permanent role in July of that year. Prior to that, she served as an assistant coach at UNH, primarily working with jumpers and multi-event athletes. During that time, she coached multiple conference champions and school record holders.
Before returning to collegiate coaching, Magle-Haberek spent three years in Colorado as a high school assistant principal and athletic director, following her work as a physical education teacher and assistant AD.
As a student-athlete at the University of Colorado, she was a Big 12 Champion in the high jump and earned a double major in Kinesiology and Psychology.
In high school, she was a four-sport athlete and the Colorado State High Jump Champion, also competing in the long jump, triple jump, and 4x400-meter relay.
She earned her Master’s degree from UNH in Kinesiology: Sport Studies in 2010 and served as a graduate assistant coach, with several athletes she worked with still holding school records. She was awarded the Basil Mott Award for Outstanding Graduate Research that same year.
