Hockey East Player of the Week (10/15)...Skated in all 39 games ... recorded 15 points on nine goals and six assists ... scored the game-winning goal in the NCAA Northeast Regional semifinal against Denver (03/29); his goal gave UNH a 3-2 lead with 22 seconds remaining in the second period ... in 27 Hockey East league games, tallied 10 points (10g, 4a) ... career-high three points (2g, 1a) in the season opener vs. St. Cloud State (10/12) and scored the game-winning goal in that game ... also matched career high of two goals at UMass-Lowell (12/01) ... scored the game-winning goal in that game ... began the year with an assist in three consecutive games ... assisted on the game-winning goal vs. Boston U. Speelman tallied 16 points on 10 goals and six assists in all 39 game appearances as a sophomore… Added three power-play goals, one short-handed goal, and one game-winning goal to his stats sheet… Finished the season third on the team in shooting percentage (.127)… Recorded a career-high two points (one goal, one assist) in a 2-1 defeat of Boston College (11/5) and matched it in a 5-1 win against Providence (1/29)… One of 10 Wildcats named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team.
2009-10: Speelman appeared in 32 games as a freshman… Recorded seven points on four assists and three goals… Registered a career-high two goals against Northeastern (10/23)… Notched four blocks.
