Men’s Soccer Picked Second in AE Preseason Poll

Mattéo Brossel and Max Voigt earn Preseason All-Conference accolades
BOSTON – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team was picked second in the 2025 America East Preseason Poll as voted on by the conference's head coaches, while graduate student midfielder Mattéo Brossel (Toulon, France) and sophomore defender Max Voigt (Oberkotzau, Germany) were selected to the Preseason All-Conference Team.
UNH totaled 40 points, while defending national champion Vermont was selected first with 49 points and seven first place votes.
Bryant was picked to finish third (38 points, one first place vote), followed by UMBC (33 points), NJIT (21 points), Binghamton (17 points), UMass Lowell (13 points) and UAlbany (13 points).
Brossel was named Preseason All-Conference after being selected to the 2024 All-America East First Team. He played in all 17 games with 16 starts and recorded two assists for two points.
Voigt had an outstanding freshman season in 2024 as he was named the America East Rookie of the Year, and was selected to the All-America East Second Team, All-ECAC Second Team and America East All-Rookie Team.
The Wildcats concluded the 2024 season with 7-3-7 overall record and a 4-1-2 mark in the conference. UNH won its sixth straight regular season championship. This was the first time in conference history that a team has won six straight.
The Wildcats will start the season at home versus Boston University on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 3 p.m.
