Ski Finishes Fourth at Dartmouth Carnival

The men’s and women’s alpine teams paced the day with respective third-place finishes.
HANOVER, N.H. — Senior Hattie Barker (Underhill, Vt.) finished fourth overall in the women's 15k freestyle race, skiing in 45:12.9, while Jayden Buckrell (Collingwood, Ontario) (50.42, 50.1; 1:40.52) and Benedetta Caloro (Rome, Italy) (49.9, 56.55; 1:46.45) finished third and fifth, respectively, in the men's and women's slalom events, headlining the University of New Hampshire's ski team's closing day at the Dartmouth Carnival.
On the Nordic side, the men's team finished the day in ninth place with 43 points, while the women's team finished in third place with 109 points, trailing Vermont (first, 122 points) and Dartmouth (second, 110 points). On the alpine side, both the men's and women's teams finished the day in third place, with the men receiving 102 points, trailing Dartmouth (first, 115 points) and Vermont (second, 104 points), while the women earned 102 points of their own, behind Vermont (first, 126 points) and Dartmouth (second, 110 points). Overall, the Wildcats closed out the Dartmouth Carnival in fourth place with 708 points, behind Vermont (first, 974 points), Dartmouth (second, 893 points), and Middlebury (third, 774 points).
