Ski in Fourth Following Day Two at Vermont Carnival

The women’s alpine team finished slalom in first, including five top-ten finishes.
STOWE, Vt. — Graduate student Benedetta Caloro (Rome, Italy) (56.29, 59.01; 1:55.30), senior Hedda Martelleur (Uppsala, Sweden) (56.17, 59.18; 1:55.35), freshman Celine Sommerová (Milton, N.H.) (56.54, 1:00.55, 1:57.09), senior Tilde Kandell (Leksand, Sweden) (56.96, 1:00.50; 1:57.46), and freshman Tianna Bruce (Avon, Colo.) (58.34, 59.3; 1:57.64) finished third, fourth, seventh, eighth, and tenth overall, respectively, in the women's slalom, headlining the University of New Hampshire's ski team's second day at the Vermont Carnival.
On the Nordic side, the men's team finished the day in seventh place with 63 points, while the women's team finished in fourth place with 93 points, trailing Middlebury (first, 110 points), Vermont (second, 100 points), and Bowdoin (second, 100 points). On the alpine side, the men's team finished in third place with 88 points, trailing Dartmouth (first, 135 points) and Middlebury (second, 104 points), while the women's team won the day with 120 points. Overall, the Wildcats closed out the second day at the Vermont Carnival in fourth place with 555 points, trailing Middlebury and Dartmouth in first with 607 points apiece and Vermont in third place with 596 points.
