Ski Sits in Fourth After Opening Day at EISA Championships

Benedetta Caloro paced the day for UNH with a third-place finish.
HANCOCK, Vt. — Graduate student Benedetta Caloro (Rome Italy) (55.64, 1:05.14; 2:00.78) skied to a third-place tie in the women's giant slalom, headlining the University of New Hampshire's opening day at the EISA Championships and Middlebury Carnival.
On the Nordic side, the men's team finished the day in fourth place with 86 points, while the women's team finished in third place with 96 points. On the alpine side, the men's team finished in ninth place with 54 points while the women's team closed out in fourth place with 91.5 points. Overall, the Wildcats closed out the first day in fourth place with 327.5 points, trailing Dartmouth, Vermont, and Middlebury.
