Hegan Secures Second-Place to Conclude SLU Carnival

Wildcats Finish Fourth
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – Freshman Clara Hegan (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) led the University of New Hampshire ski team on the third and final day of the St. Lawrence Carnival on Saturday morning.
UNH finished fourth overall with 728 points, trailing Middlebury (767), Vermont (798), and Dartmouth (931.5).
The Nordic events concluded the three-day competition with a 7.5K skate. Hegan delivered an impressive performance, earning a second-place finish with a time of 22:21.8 to secure 47 points.
Graduate student Jasmine Lyons (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) added 33 points for her 11th-place effort, crossing the line in 23:13.1. Junior Hattie Barker (Underhill, Vt.) contributed 28.5 points by finishing 15th in 23:33.6.
Freshmen Alexandra Luxmoore (Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada) and Natalie Nicholas (Bozeman, Mont.) also delivered solid performances, finishing 25th (24:04.9) and 26th (24:13.7), respectively.
On the men's side Senior Roger Anderson (Golden Valley, Minn.) led the Wildcats with a seventh-place finish, clocking in at 20:24.2 to earn 35 points. Freshman Ben Oldham (Carbondale, Colo.) secured 14th place with a time of 20:53.0 to collect 26 points.
Senior Seth Wyatt (Bozeman, Mont.) finished 29th (21:35.3), while senior Eli Gore (Madison, Wis.) added 16 points with a 34th-place finish (21:44.2).
