Wildcats will take on the Orange for the first time in program history
DURHAM, N.H. & SYRACUSE, N.Y. – University of New Hampshire men's basketball head coach Nathan Davis makes his debut at the helm when the Wildcats open their season at Syracuse on Monday, Nov. 6 at the JMA Wireless Dome in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
Davis was hired on April 7, 2023, as the 21st head coach in the program's 118-season history after eight years at Bucknell.
With the retirement of former Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim after leading the program for 47 years, Adrian Autry will make his debut as the head coach of the Orange against the Wildcats.
"At some point, everyone who has dreamed of playing college basketball has dreamed of competing in the JMA Wireless Dome against, Syracuse, one of the most storied basketball programs in the country," said Davis. "It will be a tremendous opportunity for our players and program. We are looking forward to going out and competing against the Orange in Coach Autry's debut."
The 'Cats travel to Syracuse looking to win their second consecutive game against an ACC opponent, following their 74-71 overtime win at Boston College on Dec. 6, 2022.
The Wildcats return America East All-Conference Second Team selection Clarence Daniels and All-Rookie Team selection Ridvan Tutic. Daniels averaged 10.7 rebounds per game that led the America East while Tutic's 4.9 rebounds per game ranked second among freshmen in the conference.
The Wildcats' non-conference schedule and 2023-24 season ticket information will be announced at a later date.
