Moore Scores Career-High 17 as ‘Cats Fall at Vermont, 80-51

BURLINGTON, VT. – Freshman Christian Moore (Virginia Beach, Va.) scored a career-high 17 points as the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team fell on the road at Patrick Gym Wednesday night, 80-51, as first-place Vermont extended their win streak to eight games.
With the loss, UNH falls to 11-13 (6-6 AE) and Vermont improves to 16-10 (10-2 AE).

FIRST HALF
- Graduate student Matt Herasme (Chester, N.Y.) netted the game's first points by doing what he does best, knocking down a three-pointer.
- Junior Clarence Daniels (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) knocked down a three-pointer of his own to give the 'Cats an 8-5 lead with 16:28 left to play in the half.
- Vermont responded with a 13-1 run over the next four minutes to take a 9-point lead, 18-9 with just over 12 minutes remaining.
- Daniels and Herasme answered with a three-pointer each to cut the deficit to 18-15.
- The Catamounts hit four of their next five shot attempts to build a double-digit lead, 27-17.
- Vermont continued to convert on the offensive end, scoring the next 10 points of the half to go up 37-17 with four minutes left to play in the half.
- The Catamounts went into the locker room with their largest lead of the game, 46-20, with Dylan Penn leading the way scoring 15 points for Vermont.
- Daniels was the top scorer for UNH, notching 10 points and six rebounds in the opening frame.
- The Catamounts netted a trio of three-pointers while the Wildcats managed two layups to open the second half scoring as Vermont led 56-26.
- UNH as Moore scored eight consecutive points for the 'Cats, but the Catamounts continued to hold a 59-35 lead with 14:32 left to play in the game.
- Vermont outscored UNH 17-10 over the next 10 minutes of game action as the Catamounts held a 76-45 lead with 4:22 remaining in the game.
- Vermont carried their lead to the finish line, winning the game 80-51 to extend their winning streak to eight games.

- UNH trails the all-time series with Vermont, holding a 50-108 record.
- The Wildcats have now lost 14 straight games at Patrick Gymnasium.
- Moore notched a career-high 17 points, hitting seven of his 10 shot attempts.
