Zachary Astle Earns Three Medals At New Englands; Three Wildcats Compete at ECACs

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The University of New Hampshire men's track and field team competed at the IC4A/ECAC Championships and the New England Championships on Saturday.

Graduate student Zachary Astle (Newbury, N.H.) won a total of three medals at the New England Championships. He won a silver in the hammer throw on Friday, while he won a silver in the shot put and a bronze in the discus throw on Saturday.

Freshman Joshua Hoffman (Litchfield, N.H.) and sophomore Aidan O'Hern (Concord, N.H.) each won a silver medal. Hoffman placed second in the discus throw and O'Hern in the 1,500 meters.

The Wildcats placed fifth out of 29 teams at the New England Championships with 47 points. Rhode Island won with 203.83 points.
