DURHAM, N.H. – Senior midfielderLinus Fallberg (Jonkoping, Sweden) scored two goals as the No. 12 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team posted a 4-1 win against UMass Lowell on Friday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium in America East action.
With the win, the Wildcats have clinched a bid to the four-team America East Championship on Thursday, April 15 and Saturday, April 17 held at the top seed of the tournament. UNH will earn the No. 1 seed with a win or tie in the regular season finale at Vermont on Friday, April 9 at 5 p.m.
The Wildcats improve to 5-0-1 (4-0-1 AE), while the River Hawks fall to 0-6-0 (0-4-0 AE).
Freshman midfielder Yannick Bright (Milan, Italy) scored his first collegiate goal and tallied an assist. Senior back Victor Menudier (Limoges, France) also scored a goal. Sophomore midfielder Rory O'Driscoll (Minneapolis Minn.), sophomore midfielder Bilal Kamal (London, England), graduate student forward Paul Mayer (Strasbourg, France) and graduate student midfielder Diego Toribio (Herencia, Spain) each posted an assist in the win.

UNH scored the first goal of the game in the sixth minute (5:18) as Bright stole the ball from the UMass Lowell defender and rocketed a shot from 25 yards out to the top left corner of the net to make the score 1-0.
In the 16th minute (15:29) O'Driscoll sent a pass to Fallberg as he fired a shot from 18 yards out to the back of the net to extend UNH's lead 2-0. Kamal also tallied an assist.
In the 36th minute UMass Lowell's Denis Petro attempted to score on a chip, but graduate student goalkeeper Alejandro Robles (Monterey, Mexico) charged the ball making the save, keeping the score 2-0 UNH.
Off a corner kick in the 42nd minute (41:20), Menudierscored on a header increasing UNH's lead to 3-0. The ball never hit the ground as Mayer and Toribio also headed the ball to post assists on the goal.

In the 45th minute, UMass Lowell's Abdi Shariff-Hassan found Mario Mora Perez who netted the goal, making the score 3-1.
At the end of the first half, the Wildcats tallied three shots on goal, while the River Hawks tallied two.
In the 80th minute (79:51), Bright found Fallberg as he then blasted the ball towards the net from 10 yards out as it was deflected in by a UMass Lowell defender for the 4-1 final score.

New Hampshire outshot UMass Lowell, 14-4, while the 'Cats posted seven shots on goal and the River Hawks took two.
The 'Cats took two corner kicks, while the River Hawks took three.
Robles saved one shot for the 'Cats, while Jacob Heihsel had three.

The Wildcats have outscored the opposition this season by a 16-5 margin. UNH is 3-0-1 at home this year with 12 goals and have only allowed three.
UNH is now 32-1-5 all-time at Wildcat Stadium, outscoring the opposition by a 74-14 advantage.
Bright scored his first colligate goal.
Fallberg scored his third goal of the season, and the 11th of his career at UNH. This was also his first multi-goal game of his career.
Toribio tallied his first point as a Wildcat.
