Wildcats send a squad down for one more shot at conference gold.
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's track & field team wraps up its 2019-20 indoor season with the ECAC/IC4A championship meet at the BU Track & Tennis Center this coming Saturday and Sunday, March 7 and 8.
The Wildcats once again finished top three in the America East indoor meet for the second season in a row, and will send several of the team's top performers from that meet back down to Boston University for another shot at improving personal marks and earning conference recognition.
Senior thrower Zachary Astle (Newbury, N.H.) comes off his sweep of the throwing events at the America East Championships, the first UNH men's athlete to win gold in both events in the same season. Astle comes into the ECAC's as the top seed in the weight throw, and the fourth seed in the shot put.
Another seeded Wildcat is Nicolas Sevilla-Connelly (Chester, N.H.) who looks to follow up his scoring mark in the 3000m at the America East championships.
MEET INFO:
Dates: Saturday, March 7-Sunday, March 8
Location: BU Track & Tennis Center – Boston, Mass.
First Event Time: 10 AM (Saturday) 9:30 AM (Sunday)
LIVE RESULTS / SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
UP NEXT:
The outdoor track and field season is just two weekends away with the Wildcats heading to the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State on Friday and Saturday, March 27 and 28.
FROM THE COACH:
"We've got our typical track team out there, counting relays we're up to 16 athletes going; we've always been top four in [America East] when we have 16 people qualify for IC4As, and that's what we did again this year."
