Lester's Career-High 22 Points Leads 'Cats Past Stony Brook, 81-64

DURHAM, N.H. – Chris Lester (Barrington, Ill.) led four double-digit scorers with a career-high 22 points to propel the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team to Saturday afternoon's 81-64 win against Stony Brook University at Lundholm Gym.
Lester came off the bench to make 8 of 13 field goal attempts, including three 3-pointers, and also made three free throws. Nick Guadarrama (Newington, Conn.; 14 points), Josh Hopkins (Greensboro, N.C.; 13) and Sean Sutherlin (New Brighton, Minn.; 12) also scored in double digits. Sutherlin pulled down a game-high nine rebounds and Guadarrama had eight.
SBU was led by Tyler Stephenson-Moore (19 points; nine rebounds), Andrew Garcia (17 points, seven rebounds) and Makale Foreman (16 points).
UNH, which made 12 of 14 free throws in the last 6:26 of the game, improved to 8-2 at home, 11-11 overall and 4-5 in America East. Stony Brook is now 16-9, 7-3.
