UNH Wraps up Regular Season at Binghamton (Sat., 2 P.M., ESPN3)

Wildcats await playoff opponent for next Wednesday.
NEW HAMPSHIRE (10-17, 7-8 AE) vs. BINGHAMTON (20-8, 9-6 AE)
Saturday, Feb. 29 – 2:00 P.M. – Dr. Bai Lee Court at Events Center – Vestal, N.Y. – ESPN3
The Bearcats took game one of the season series in Durham back in January, and have locked up the #4 seed and the final home playoff spot with their win over UMBC. New Hampshire still awaits its final playoff sitting, currently in fifth, with several teams able to move up or down in the standings depending on Saturday's results. The Wildcats are coming off a tough-fought battle with Maine on Wednesday night, a neck-and-neck battle that Maine was able to put away in the fourth by a score of 71-62.

INTO THE HISTORY BOOKS
With 23 points on Wednesday night, redshirt senior Ashley Storey (Cumberland, Maine) surpassed the 1,000 career point mark, becoming just the 21st Wildcat to achieve that feat. She currently sits 20th all-time in total points scored by a Wildcat with 1,003.
This comes off a career-best 431-point year this season; she tallied 257 last season before missing all but two America East conference games due to injury, after missing her third season with a season-ending shoulder injury. She tallied 162 points and 153 points in her freshman and sophomore seasons, respectively.
LAST TIME OUT:
- The Wildcats' fell to the University of Maine by a score of 71-62 on Wednesday evening in Lundholm Gymnasium.
- UNH held a seven point lead in the first quarter, but the Black Bears fought back and the game was a back and forth affair with nine lead changes and eight ties, before Maine eventually took a big lead in the fourth.
- The teams were even in the paint, each tallying 36 points. Maine held a slight rebound advantage at 30-27.
- Along with Ashley Storey's 23 points she added five rebounds, two assists, a steal, and two blocks.
- Junior Amanda Torres (Hudson, N.H.) chipped in with 11 points, a team-high three steals, and two assists.
- UNH dominated the paint through Storey and junior Maggie Ahearn (Marshfield, Mass.), who tallied 10 points on five-of-seven shooting, with a team-high seven rebounds. Ahearn also had one of UNH's four blocks on the evening.

New Hampshire sits near the top of the conference in turnover margin at 3.30; they average 13.7 turnovers per game while UNH's opponents have averaged 17.0 turnovers per game. The second-best ins Binghamton at 2.81. The Wildcats are also near the top of the league in steals with 8.26 per game, which ranks second in the conference.
