FIRST PERIOD SUMMARY
- UNH quickly took a 1-0 lead on Martin's second goal of the season at 2:10. Brianna Legros (New Liskeard, Ontario)) initiated the scoring sequence with a pass through the neutral zone to Nicole Kelly (Brantford, Ontario), who advanced down the slot. Her drop pass found Tamara Thiérus (Saint-Jerome, Quebec) at the right point, and she slipped a pass ahead to Martin, who wristed a shot into the upper-left corner.
- UVM tied the score, 1-1, just 46 seconds later when Mylinkova advanced to the low slot and chipped the puck high into the cage.
- Bella Parento gave the Catamounts a 2-1 lead at 11:16 as her shot from the right point eluded Boutilier and the puck trickled across the goal line.
SECOND PERIOD SUMMARY
- UNH opened the second stanza on the power play when Vermont was charged with a bench minor for delay of game. The Wildcats generated an excellent scoring chance 20 seconds into the skater advantage, but Legros' one-timer from the low-side right circle was stopped by Ferenc.
- UVM extended the advantage to 3-1 when Caldwell, from a scrum at the top of the crease, swept the puck into the net at 2:59.
- Boutlilier kept UNH within two goals at 6:25 when she denied Maude Poulin-Labelle from the low slot with an acrobatic glove save.
- Ciara Wall (Hampton, N.H.), alone at the blue line, corralled a long stretch pass from the UNH defensive zone to break alone down the slot, but her bid from close range was turned aside by Ferenc.
- Vermont converted a 2-on-1 rush into a 4-1 advantage at 16:47 when Maddy Skelton finished Lily Humphrey's centering feed from the left circle into the upper-right corner.
THIRD PERIOD SUMMARY
- Moments after a successful penalty kill ended, UNH closed within 4-2 at 2:44. Emily Rickwood (Brantford, Ontario) advanced the puck to Berry, who skated down the slot and received a return pass from Chavonne Truter (Uxbridge, Ontario), shifted the puck to her backhand at the left doorstep and lifted a shot under the crossbar.
- With 8:30 on the clock, Berry skated out of the right corner with the puck and, from the top of the crease, backhanded a low shot that was enveloped by Ferenc.
- UNH went on its third power play of the game at 15:49 and recorded one shot on goal – by Martin, stopped by Ferenc – before pulling Boutilier for a 6-on-4 advantage at 17:28.
- UVM returned to full strength and Boutilier remained on the bench for the visiting 'Cats, but a series of three shots in a 35-second span were all blocked by Vermont's Hailey Burns.
- The Catamounts called their timeout with 36.3 seconds remaining, and UNH followed with its timeout before play resumed.
- New Hampshire won the faceoff, but Rickwood's shot was blocked and the puck was cleared out of the zone with 24 seconds to play.
- UNH reentered the attack zone but another shot attempt was block and once again the puck was cleared into the neutral zone with six seconds remaining to secure the win.
