Wildcats Release 2019-20 Promotional Calendar

Promotions include the annual Stick it to Stigma and Skating Strides games.
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's hockey program has announced its special promotional events accompanying nine home contests this season. From giving back to the community and the next generation of women's hockey, to concessions stand discounts, the Wildcats have a lot to offer for their home fans this upcoming season.

CAMPER APPRECIATION DAY
The season opens up on September 29 when the Wildcats host the Franklin Pierce Falcons at 2 P.M. This summer, UNH women's hockey welcomed more than 100 campers to the Whittemore Center Arena for their annual hockey camps. As a thank you, the Wildcats are welcoming back all those campers for the home opener with a special ticket offer: buy one ticket, bring a friend for free! The game will also be followed by a post-game autograph-signing session with the team, and a post-game skate on the Towes Rink.
STICK IT TO STIGMA
For the third straight season, the 'Cats are partnering with the Connor's Climb Foundation, The Benny Fund, and the New Hampshire Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. As the Wildcats face Vermont on November 9, one thousand free tickets to the game will be provided for local schools, youth sports teams, youth organizations, and the community, to raise awareness for the importance of mental health. The event aims to reduce the stigma around mental health and to prevent suicide. The Wildcats will also raise money for these charities with a special 'Shirt Off Our Back' jersey auction after the game, with each player's specialty, game-worn jersey being put up for auction to the highest bidder.
SKATING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER
The 13th season of the Hockey Easts Skating Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign rolls into Durham on January 11, 2020. The Wildcats will adorn their pink jerseys as they face the UConn Huskies for a 2 P.M. matinee game. Skating Strides is Hockey East's primary fundraising vehicle bringing awareness to breast cancer. Each year, all Hockey East member schools hosts a Skating Strides game, giving fans on each campus the ability to watch their team battle for Hockey East supremacy, as well as support and contribute to an ever greater cause.
EMBRACE NEW HAMPSHIRE
The Granite State Rivalry continues with UNH vs. Dartmouth on Tuesday evening, February 4. Show your New Hampshire pride as two teams from the Granite State face off in a mid-week matchup, Game includes a t-shirt giveaway to the first fans through the door.
POST GAME AUTOGRAPHS
Meet your favorite Wildcats after the game and get a poster signed by the team! There are a total of four post-game autograph sessions following UNH home games this season, including the Camper Appreciation Day on September 29. The other dates will be November 3 vs. Holy Cross (2 P.M.), December 7 vs. Merrimack (3 P.M.), and January 18 vs. Providence (2 P.M.).
DOLLAR DOGS
Back by popular demand, it's the Dollar Dogs promotion, where every hot dog in the arena costs just $1 when the Wildcats play a school with a dog mascot. There are five home games this season with the Dollar Dogs promotion: October 12 vs. Boston University Terriers (3 P.M.), November 16 vs. Northeastern Huskies (3 P.M.), January 10 and 11 vs. UConn Huskies (6 P.M., 2 P.M.), and February 15 vs. BU Terriers (2 P.M.).
