MacAdams scores his first goal of the season
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Logan Drevitch netted two goals and posted two assists for Merrimack as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to the Warriors, 4-2, at Lawler Rink Saturday night. Junior Eric MacAdams (Salem, Mass.) scored his first goal of the season and freshman Chase Stevenson (West Kelowna, British Columbia) added his second.
The Wildcats are now 7-7-1 (3-5-0 HEA) and the Warriors improve to 4-9-2 (2-4-2 HEA).

UP NEXT: The Wildcats will return to the Whittemore Center on Sunday, December 8 when they take on Merrimack at 7 p.m. The game is presented by GEICO. The Wildcat Toy Drive will be held at the game. HOW IT HAPPENED
- At 6:01 in the first period, the Wildcats went on a five-minute power play after Sam Tavernier earned a major penalty for hitting from behind and received a game misconduct. But the Wildcats were unable to take advantage.
- The Warriors outshot the Wildcats in the first period 16-7. Each team went 0-1 on the power play.
- UNH took the 1-0 lead at 1:51 in the second period with a goal from Stevenson. Senior Anthony Wyse (Newton, Mass.) passed across the ice to junior Benton Maass (Elk River, Minn.) who sent the puck towards Stevenson skating into the net and he was able to bury it into the lower glove-side.
- At 14:24 in the second, the Warriors tied the game up with a goal by Drevitch. The puck was passed from Zach Vinnell to Chase Gresock and then sent towards the net where Drevitch was able to collect the rebound and put it in the lower stick-side.
- Just 18 seconds later, UNH answered with a goal from MacAdams to put the Wildcats back in the lead. The goal was unassisted as MacAdams gathered the puck off a turnover and ripped a shot to the upper glove-side of the net.
- In the second period, UNH outshot Merrimack 10-6. The Wildcats went 0-1 on the power play and the Warriors went 1-2.
- At 1:31 in the third, the Warriors had a shot at a five-minute power play as freshman Robby Griffin (Burlington, Mass.) received a major penalty for hitting from behind and a game misconduct.
- Junior goalie Mike Robinson (Bedford, N.H.) was given a minor penalty for roughing at 5:30 in the third, resulting in a 5-on-3 power play for Merrimack for 59 seconds. The Warriors took advantage by scoring two goals 15 seconds apart to take a 3-2 lead. Tyler Irvine netted the first one with assists from Declan Carlie and Drevitch. Drevitch scored his second goal of the night off a breakaway, which Carlie and Irvine assisted.
- At 19:10, Gresock scored an empty net goal to make the final score 4-2.
