GAME RECAP
- The Wildcats got on the board in the final minute of the first period; a neutral zone turnover by the Eagles found Abby Chapman (Beverly Hills, Mich.) who fed McManus for the snipe with just 35 seconds remaining in the first period.
- Boston College responded with a long shot of their own, with Watts sneaking one past Boutilier 4:13 into the second period.
- Just over three minutes later, another turnover by the Eagles resulted in the Turner goal 7:35 into the period, assisted by Carlee Toews (Algonquin Highlands, Ontario) and Julia Scammell (Truro, Novia Scotia).
- The third period saw a 15-4 shot advantage for the Eagles, but all were saved by Boutilier. The UNH defense held strong in the final two minutes with the BC goaltender pulled, and kept the game 2-1.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The win is UNH's first win against the Eagles since Oct. 16, 2013, when the Wildcats beat BC 3-2 on the road.
- The Wildcats tallied the first goal, putting their record at 11-4-5 when scoring first.
- The win was the Wildcats' second win of the season against a ranked team; their record against ranked opponents is now at 2-6-1.
