The Wildcats fired 32 shots but couldn’t come up with a tally.

BOSTON – After a tough 2-1 loss on senior day, the University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team needed two points at BU to clinch home-ice advantage with a Northeastern loss. The Wildcats could not get on the board as they fell to BU 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The action on Sunday changed nothing in the standings, with Northeastern clinching the #4 seed, and UNH clinching the #5 seed. Game One of the best-of-three series will take place Friday, Feb. 23, at Matthew's Arena. Game Two would take place Saturday, Feb. 24, and Game Three, if necessary, would take place Sunday, Feb. 25. GAME RECAP

The Terriers got on the board early, just five minutes into the first period to lead 1-0.
A scoreless second period saw 11 BU shots to UNH's 8. The Terriers led in shots 24-17 after two periods.
The Wildcats turned it up in the third with 15 shots on goal. Taylor Wenczkowski (Rochester, N.H.) had a grade-A chance off a rebound but the puck somehow managed to stay out of the net.
Another great chance, this one from Abby Chapman (Beverly Hills, Mich.) on a wrap-around chance with O'Neil out of her crease, but a hero play by a BU defender kept the puck out.
With the goaltender pulled, UNH attempted one final push in the final minute, but Bach was able to get the puck in the neutral zone and put the game out of reach.
