DURHAM, N.H. – Senior forward Alli Gribbin (Keller, Texas) scored a career-high 11 points and junior forward Ashley Storey (Cumberland, Maine) had 12, but the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team fell to Dartmouth College, 62-42, on Friday in front of an Education Day crowd of 1,557 in Lundholm Gymnasium.
The Wildcats face a second straight Ivy League opponent at home in their next game, Saturday, Dec. 29 against Princeton at 1 p.m.
UNH is now 3-2 for the season at home and 3-9 overall. Coach Maureen Magarity's team had won its last three games in Lundholm.
Dartmouth is 6-5.
Big Green junior guard Annie McKenna led all scorers with a career-high 21 points and made three of her five three-point attempts.
NEXT UP
The Princeton game on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. closes out the nonconference portion of the schedule for UNH.
Camper Appreciation Day will be celebrated at the Princeton game. Admission is free for any youth wearing a Wildcat basketball camp t-shirt.
Princeton is coached by New Hampshire native Courtney Banghart.
The Wildcats begin play in America East with a game at Maine on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
They play their first league home game against Binghamton on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 1 p.m.

HIGHLIGHTS
Gribbin started in the frontcourt in place of sophomore forward Maggie Ahearn (Marshfield, Mass.), who is out with an injury. Her previous high in points was eight vs. Sacred Heart on Nov.18.
Gribbin made four of her seven field goals and was one for three in three-pointers.
Freshman Kari Brekke (Appleton, Wisc.) contributed a career-best seven rebounds to go with seven points and seven assists. Her career best in assists was eight against Holy Cross on Dec. 9.
HOW IT HAPPENED
A Brekke three-pointer and Gribbin fastbreak layup gave UNH an early 5-3 lead.
McKenna hit a three-pointer to put Dartmouth in front at 6-5 and the Big Green led from there.
Dartmouth was up 15-10 after the first period and the advantage was 31-18 at the half. Storey led UNH at the break with eight points.
Gribbin scored six straight points to cut the edge to 33-24 with 6:22 left in the third period.
The lead was 47-32 at the end of three.
