Wildcats Achieve Three NCAA-B Cuts in Day Three of AE Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. – The University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving team earned NCAA-B cuts in three separate events on the third day of the America East Championships held at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Carbone began the finals portion of day three with a top-podium finish in the 400-yard individual medley as she clocked in with a time of 4:19.16, a NCAA-B cut time. Her first-place finish earned 20 points for the Wildcats as she improved upon her preliminary winning time of 4:22.10. Senior Sarah Olver (Durham, N.H.) claimed fourth in the event with a time of 4:27.31.
Miller notched the second top finish of the night for the Wildcats with the highest score in the 3-meter dive, a total of 234.15 points. Erin Cullather (Highland Park, Ill.) took second in the event with a score of 220.00.
Harvey earned a NCAA-B cut time in the 100-yard butterfly as she broke a seven-year old conference record with a time of 53.67 seconds. The previous record was set by Emily Munday from Boston University in 2010 at the AE Championships. Vivienne El-Sibay (Munich, Germany) took fourth in the event with a time of 56.39 seconds.
Baykova took her third consecutive gold medal in the 200-yard freestyle as she touched the wall with a time of 1:48.06, improving upon her preliminary time of 1:49.14. Milana Evsten (Stockholm, Sweden) took silver in the 100-yard breaststroke with a NCAA-B cut time of 1:01.51. Her time earned her the new UNH program record set by Katie Mann in 2014 (1:02.17).
The quartet of Sarah Broderick (Haverhill, Mass.), Evsten, Harvey and Carbone took second place in the 400-yard medley relay as they collectively swam to a time of 3:45.54.
