- The No. 13/14 University of New Hampshire men's hockey team (6-4-1, 3-3-1 HEA) will travel to New Haven, Conn., on Saturday, Nov. 25, to take on Yale (3-5-0, 3-5-0 ECAC) at 7:00 p.m., at Ingalls Rink.
- UNH is currently in sixth place in the Hockey East standings with seven points, while Yale is tied for fifth in the ECAC with six points.
- Last week, the Wildcats fell to Boston College, 3-2. The Bulldogs lost to Princeton (5-4) and Quinnipiac (3-0).
- UNH has outscored its opposition, 34-25, so far this season and have posted two shutouts, while the Bulldogs have been outscored 24-23.

- Senior goalie Danny Tirone (Trumbull, Conn.) reached 3,000 career saves during the Boston College game. Tirone is only the second goalie in UNH history to reach the career mark of 3,000 saves. The first to do it was Kevin Regan (2005-2008) who finished his career with 3,235. Tirone is now at 3,016 career saves.

UNH is ranked eighth in the country in scoring defense with 2.27 goals allowed per game, while Yale is tied for 34th with 3.00 goals allowed per contest. UNH is 15th nationally with a .227 power play percentage and Yale is 60th with a .051 percentage. The Wildcats are eighth in the nation with a .882 penalty kill percentage and Yale is 19th with a .825 percentage.
The Series With Yale: This will be the 31st meeting between UNH and Yale. UNH leads the all-time series, 18-12-0. The Bulldogs won the last meeting with a 4-3 overtime win on Oct. 28, 2006 at the Whittemore Center. UNH's last win was a 4-1 victory on Jan. 11, 2006 at Ingalls Rink. UNH is 8-7-0 all-time at Ingalls Rink. UNH is 3-2-0 versus Yale over the last five games. The series is tied at 5-5-0 over the last 10 games. Yale won the first-ever matchup with a 11-2 victory on Jan. 24, 1928.
Nationally Ranked: The Wildcats are ranked No. 13 in the latest USCHO.com Division I Poll as UNH was No. 11 in this poll last week. UNH is No. 14 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine College Hockey Poll after being ranked No. 12 last week.
#1 Ranked Defense In Hockey East: The Wildcats have been outstanding defensively as they are ranked first in Hockey East and are eighth in the nation with 2.27 goals allowed per game. The Wildcats are also second in the league and eighth nationally with a .882 penalty kill percentage.
Strong Offense: The Wildcats have outscored its opponents by a 34-25 margin so far this season for the second best scoring margin in the conference. UNH is second in Hockey East and 19th nationally with 3.09 goals scored per game. The Wildcats are also third in the conference and 15th nationally with a .227 power play percentage. UNH has already had 14 different goal scorers with 18 players with at least one point.
Tirone Posts 3,000th Save: Senior assistant captain Danny Tirone (Trumbull, Conn.) recorded his 3,000th career save during the Boston College game on Nov. 17. He is second all-time at UNH with 3,016 career saves as he is only the second UNH goalie to ever post 3,000 saves. Kevin Regan (2005-2008) is first with 3,235 saves. Tirone has played in 103 career games which are second all-time in program history for a goalie. Regan holds the record with 112 games. His 44 career wins are tied for seventh, his 2.81 goals against average is seventh and his .913 save percentage is sixth. This season, Tirone has been named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week and the Goaltender of the Month for October. His 2.29 goals against average is second in Hockey East and his .926 save percentage is also second. Tirone's 1,137 saves last year led the nation and was third all-time at UNH.
MacAdams Nets First Collegiate Goal: Freshman Eric MacAdams (Salem, Mass.) scored his first collegiate goal in the game versus Boston College on Nov. 17. He gave the Wildcats a 2-1 lead in the second period. He has played in all 11 games this season.
Number 91: The 2017-2018 season is the 91st year of men's hockey at UNH. The program has a record of 1,228-926-149.
Umile In 28th & Final Season At UNH: UNH head coach Dick Umile is the second longest tenured coach at their current institution as he is now in his 28th season with the 'Cats. Rick Gotkin (Mercyhurst) is going into his 30th season. Umile has a 592-357-109 all-time record at UNH. The 592 wins are third among active Division I coaches.
Freshmen Off To Great Start: The Wildcats have three freshmen in the top six on the team in points. Freshman defenseman Benton Maass (Elk River, Minn.) leads the team with nine assists and is tied for first with 10 points. His nine assists are tied for third in Hockey East. His 10 points are tied for fourth in the league for points by a defenseman, while his 10 points are tied for third by a freshman in the conference. Freshman defenseman Max Gildon (Plano, Texas) leads the team with six goals, while his 10 points are tied for first. His six goals are tied for most by a freshman in the league. He is also tied for fourth in the league for points by a defenseman and tied for third for a rookie. Gildon has been named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week once and won Rookie of the Month for October. Freshman forward Charlie Kelleher (Longmeadow, Mass.) is tied for sixth on the team with seven points with one goal and six assists.
Chanter Named Captain: Senior defenseman Dylan Chanter (Armstrong, British Columbia) is the team captain for the 2017-2018 season. Chanter played in 37 games a year ago as a key member of the defense.
Three Coaches, 402 Points: Umile, Stewart and Souza are each members of the Century Club for the men's hockey program. Souza tallied 156 points (66g, 90a), Umile 144 points (60g, 84a) and Stewart notched 102 points (51g, 51a).
Wildcats Drafted By NHL Teams: Five current Wildcats are NHL draft picks. Senior Shane Eiserman (Ottawa-2014, Round #4, Pick #100), junior Marcus Vela (San Jose-2015, Round #7, Pick #190), and freshmen Benton Maass (Washington, 2017, Round #6, #182), Max Gildon (Florida-2017, Round #3, #66) and Mike Robinson (San Jose-2015, Round #3, #86) have all been drafted by NHL organizations.
Wildcats Through And Through: Head coach Dick Umile ('72) and associate head coaches Glenn Stewart ('94) and Mike Souza ('00) are all graduates and former players of UNH. Goaltenders coach Brian Foster ('10) was an All-American at UNH. Assistant AD for Hockey Operations Colin Shank ('05) is also a graduate of UNH.
Granite State Connection: Four Wildcats are from the Granite State; junior Chris Miller of Windham, sophomore Nick Nonis of Hampton Falls, sophomore Joe Lazzaro of Hampstead and freshman Mike Robinson of Bedford.
