Eric MacAdams scores his first collegiate goal for the Wildcats
DURHAM, N.H. – Michael Kim netted two goals for the Eagles as the No. 11/12 University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to Boston College, 3-2, on Friday evening at the Whittemore Center. The Eagles tied the game twice and took the lead in the third period. UNH junior Chris Miller (Windham, N.H.) scored his second goal of the season and freshman Eric MacAdams (Salem, Mass.) scored his first collegiate goal.
Senior goaltender Danny Tirone (Trumbull, Conn.) recorded his 3,000th career save in the contest, as he is only the second Wildcat to do so in program history. He ended the night with 26 saves. The loss puts his record at 6-4-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNH got the scoring started early, with Miller's shot at 4:30 into the first period on an extended forecheck forced by junior Ara Nazarian (Boxford, Mass.).
- BC would answer back early in the second period on a quick shot by David Cotton 1:49 into the period to tie the game.
- The Wildcats would retake the lead on MacAdams' goal as he took the puck in his own defensive zone off a long shot from BC that went wide; MacAdams skated the length of the ice, pulled back and fired a shot. The Wildcats were back on top, 2-1 7:30 into the period.
- Just 2:01 later the Eagles tied the game back up on a power play with a goal by Kim.
- In the third period, Kim netted the game-winner at 8:21.
- The Wildcats had a 5-on-3 power play with 6:34 remaining in the contest, but BC goaltender Joseph Woll made a diving save off a shot by Nazarian.
- The Wildcats were unable to score the equalizer as BC secured the 3-2 victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- BC outshot UNH, 29-25.
- The Wildcats went 0-3 on the power play, while the Eagles went 1-3.
- Tirone made 26 saves, while Woll posted 23.
- Tirone is only the second goalie in UNH history to reach the career mark of 3,000 saves. The first to do it was Kevin Regan (2005-2008) who finished his career with 3,235. Tirone is now at 3,016 career saves.
- MacAdams' goal was the first of his collegiate career.
