Arling’s Two Goals Pushes ‘Cats Past Northeastern, 3-0

DURHAM, N.H. – Sophomore forward Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.) scored a pair of goals as the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team shutout Northeastern University Wednesday night, 3-0. The game was played at Wildcat Stadium on the campus of UNH. Freshman Jack Dickson (Bournemouth, England) had three points on a goal and an assist.

--First Half--
The Wildcats got on the board in the 18th board as Arling recorded his sixth goal of the season. The play started with Dickson blazing down the sideline and playing a ball to the top of the six-yard box. His pass was met in stride by the foot of Arling who it away.
--Second Half--
Dickson garnered his third point of the game and his fourth goal of the season to pad the UNH lead to 2-0. His goal came in the 51st minute as senior co-captain Chris Wingate (Hovik, Norway) flung a free kick into the mixer that connected with Lalaina Randriamanantena (Auvergne, France) tipped on to Dickson. Dickson ripped a shot into the net to complete the play.
Arling notched his seventh goal of the season and second of the game in the 57th minute of play. He gained control of the ball and smoked a NU defender along the left side of the field and dribbled it into the box. He ripped a shot to the inside of the net that beat NU keeper Matt Dabrowski.
