DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team is set to take on the College of the Holy Cross on Saturday, Dec. 3 (7 PM) in Lundholm Gymnasium.

- Senior Jaleen Smith (Freeport, Texas) recorded 20 points, for the third straight game, in the 76-62 loss at Providence.
- Smith also recorded his 1,000th point in the game, the 26th player in UNH history to accomplish the feat.
- New Hampshire out-rebounded the Friars 32-31, the fifth straight game UNH and led or tied in rebounding.
- Junior Iba Camara (Dakar, Senegal) finished with 10 points, tying a season-high, and six rebounds as the only other double-figure scorer.
- Freshmen Kijana Love (Cibolo, Texas) scored eight points on two buckets and four free throws in 28 minutes of action.

1,000 Career Points
Smith drilled two free throws against Providence at 7:19 in the second half to earn 1,000 career points, the 26th UNH athlete all-time to hit the mark. The last student-athlete to hit the 1,000-point mark was Alvin Abreu (08-12) who finished third all-time in scoring with 1,564 points. Additionally, Leissner has scored 923 points in his career, currently in his junior season.
A Guard Who Scores and Rebounds
Smith is one of the best scorers on the team (16.3 points per game), but also rebounds the ball at an incredible rate as a guard (8.6 rebounds per game). The senior is tied for 18th in the country with 7.57 rebounds per game and is the third ranked guard in that category. Smith is also ranked fourth in the country in minutes per game.
