Pesci Makes Nine Saves in 2-0 Loss at Vermont, Will Host Hartford Saturday at 1 PM in AE Playoffs

BURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team fell by a score of 2-0 at the University of Vermont Wednesday night in the final game of the regular season. The Wildcats will be the No. 4 seed in the America East Tournament and will host the University of Hartford on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m.
AMERICA EAST TOURNAMENT: The Wildcats will enter the AE Tournament as the fourth seed and host the fifth-seeded University of Hartford. UNH previously defeated the Hawks on Saturday, Oct. 29 by a score of 2-1 on the road. Sophomore forward Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.) scored both goals in the contest.

The Catamounts took a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute of play as DeFeo scored the game winning goal from inside the box. After a corner kick, the ball bounced around in the box and Wright found the ball and played it to Eriksson. He then sent a pass to DeFeo who chipped a shot into the goal.
In the 85th minute of play, Wright notched his third point of the game to make the score 2-0. He fired a left-footed line drive on target that found its way into the back of the net.
