- UNH enters the weekend with a 4-10-0 overall record that includes 3-6-0 at home and 1-4-0 on the road, as well as 3-5-0 in Hockey East.

'Cat Nips
- Senior forward Jonna Curtis (Elk River, Minn.) scored her eighth and ninth goals of the season Tuesday against Harvard, including the game-winning power-play goal in overtime. Curtis has scored a goal four of the past seven games with seven points (4-3-7) in that span.
- Junior defenseman Julia Fedeski (Algonquin Highlands, Ontario) recorded two assists against Harvard resulting in a career high and matching her career high in points.
- Sophomore goaltender Hilary Cashin (Fredericton, New Brunswick) recorded 40 saves – including 12 in the first period, 16 in the third, and three in overtime – to backbone UNH to Tuesday's overtime win. It marked her second effort of 40+ saves this season and was one less than her benchmark of 41 established Oct. 23 vs. Clarkson.
- Junior forward Carlee Toews (Grand Prairie, Alberta) is the only 'Cat with a current point streak; she scored a goal Nov. 12 at Boston College and recorded an assist Nov. 15 vs. Harvard.
- Freshman forward Meghara McManus (Milton, Mass.) has tallied a point four of the last six games with 3-2-5 in that span.

Platoon System
- Sophomore goaltenders Kyra Smith and Hilary Cashin have alternated starts through 14 games. This past Tuesday, Cashin was the starter between the pipes. If the trend continues, Smith will start Saturday and Cashin on Sunday.
- Last Saturday's game at Boston College marked the first time this season that one goalie entered in relief of the other. Smith exited the game at 2:40 of the second period with 10 saves and four goals against; Cashin played the final 37:20 and stopped 14 of 17 shots on goal.
- Smith made 32 or more saves each of her first five games, and that included a career-high 38 saves in the season-opening 4-2 loss at No 8 Colgate and 36 saves at No. 9 Boston University. In seven games, she has a 3.45 GAA and .904 save percentage with a 1-6-0 record.
- Cashin, who saw limited action in three games last season, has a 3.01 GAA and .902 save percentage with a 3-4-0 record. In addition to her career-high 41 saves Oct. 23 vs. Clarkson, she made 32 saves (on 35 shots) in her first game of the season, a 3-1 loss at eighth-ranked Colgate (Oct. 2). Cashin recorded her second 40+ save effort in the 3-2 overtime win vs. Harvard on Nov. 16.
- Cashin made 21 saves vs. Merrimack to earn her first career win Oct. 15
Block That Shot
- Sophomore Jenna Rheault (Deering, N.H.) and Junior Julia Fedeski (Algonquin Highlands, Ontario) are tied with a team-high of 22 blocked shots, followed by junior Amy Schlagel (Blaine, Minn.) with 19 and Marie-Jo Pelletier (Dalhousie, New Brunswick) with 18.
Strong Starts
- UNH has outscored the opposition 10-9 in the first period; however, the Wildcats have been outscored 23-8 in the third period.
First Blood
- New Hampshire has a 3-3-0 record when scoring the game's first goal, and the 'Cats are 1-7-0 in the eight games they have fallen behind 1-0; the one win in that scenario happened this past Tuesday, when UNH erased 1-0 and 2-1 deficits to prevail 3-2 in OT.
Scouting the Friars
- Providence College (Providence, RI) has a 6-7-1 overall record that includes 3-3-1 in Hockey East, 3-5-0 at home and 3-2-0 on the road. Providence is 2-2-1 the last five games.
- PC is coming off a Hockey East win (5-2) and tie (1-1) at home against Vermont last weekend.
- Senior forward Cassidy Carels has a team- high 14 points on seven goals and seven assists. Sophomore Christina Putigna is second in points with 13 and is tied for the lead in assists with freshman Whitney Dove with eight.
- Junior forward Brooke Boquist leads the team with eight goals.
- Senior Alanna Serviss and sophomore Madison Myers have split the goaltending duties, both starting seven games.
- Serviss is 4-3-0 with a 2.87 GAA and .892 save percentage; Myers is 2-4-1 with a 2.14 GAA and .917 save percentage.
- Providence is averaging 3.14 goals and 32.6 shots per game, while allowing 2.64 goals and 26.2 shots per game.
- PC is 13/82 (15.9%) on the power play and 84/94 (89.4%) on the penalty kill.
