'Cats Travel to Binghamton for Saturday Game (7 PM)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team is set to travel to Binghamton University for a tilt on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.
SCOUTING UNH: The 9-4-0 Wildcats are coming off a heartbreaking 2-1 loss at home to the University at Albany on Wednesday, Oct. 12 to fall to 1-2-0 in America East Conference play. Sophomore forward Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.) gave the 'Cats an early lead just 57 seconds into the match with his 11th goal of the season. Freshman forward Jack Dickson (Bournemouth, England) took a shot that was saved and Arling rocketed the rebound into the net. Albany would tie the game in the 84th minute of play and ultimately score the winning goal with just six seconds remaining in regulation.
The Wildcats are led on offense by Arling, who has 11 goals and one assist for 23 points. Dickson is behind him with 13 points on five goals and three assists while senior co-captain Chris Wingate (Hovik, Norway) has 10 points from two goals and six assists. Sophomore Alex Valencia (Tracey, Calif.) splits his nine points on a trio of goals and assists while William Picoux (Lorient, France) has five points from a goal and three assists. Junior keeper Andrew Pesci (Windham, N.H.) has seen every minute of the 13 games played and has a record of 9-4-0 with five shutouts. He has a goals against average of 0.92 and a save percentage of .800.
COMPARING THE NUMBERS: New Hampshire is outscoring opponents 27-12 on the year and are outshooting foes 181-112. UNH's offense has generated 80 corner kicks compared to 42 by the competition.
BALANCED ATTACK: UNH has scored 13 goals in the first half of games and 14 in the second half. The team has also had 40 corner kicks in the first half and 40 in the second.

Harrison Wellbacher and Charlie Novoth each have six points on a goal and four assists while Miles Burbank has four points on a pair of goals.
