Home Game against Albany on Wednesday (7:30 PM)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team is set to host the University at Albany on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. The match will take place on Bremner Field.
SCOUTING UNH: The Wildcats (9-3-0, 1-1-0 AE) are coming off a 2-0 defeat at Stony Brook University on Saturday, Oct. 8 on the road. UNH held the upper hand in shots (14-6) and corner kicks (10-3), however goals by Thibault Duval in the 19th minute and 21st minute would be the difference in the match. Junior goalkeeper Andrew Pesci (Windham, N.H.) made one save on three shots faced.
Sophomore Chris Arling (Windham, N.H.) leads the squad on offense with 10 goals and one assist for 21 points. His goal total has him tied for fourth in the nation. Freshman Jack Dickson (Bournemouth, England) has 12 points on five goals and two assists while senior co-captain Chris Wingate (Hovik, Norway) has 10 points from two goals and six assists. Sophomore Alex Valencia (Tracey, Calif.) splits his nine points on three goals and three assists while William Picoux (Lorient, France) has five points on one goal and three assists.
Pesci has played every minute of the 12 games New Hampshire has played and has a 9-3-0 record with five shutouts. He has a goals against average of 0.83 and a save percentage of .800.
HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE: The Wildcats are undefeated at home this season with a record of 4-0-0. In those four games, they are outscoring opponents 11-1.

Alfonso Pinheiro got the 'Danes on the board in the 14th minute of play with his sixth goal of the season to give Albany a 1-0 lead at the half. Nico Solabarrieta upped the lead in the 47th minute of play to 2-0 with his second goal of the year while Carlos Clark gave UA a 3-0 lead in the 49th minute. Pinheiro notched his second goal of the game in the 72nd minute of play to ultimately finalize the score at 4-0.
Albany keeper Danny Vitiello made two saves on two shots faced for the shutout win in net. He has played eight games in net and has a record of 4-2-2 with four shutouts. He has a goals against average of 1.07 and a save percentage of .757.
UP NEXT: The Wildcats are back on the road for a night tilt at Binghamton University on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. UNH returns home for its last two home games of the regular season, beginning on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. against UMass Lowell. The final home game of the regular season takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 25 against Harvard at 7:30 p.m.
