Women's Cross Country Set For Wolfie Invitational (Sept. 12; 10:30 a.m.)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's cross country team travels to Stony Brook University for the Wolfie Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12 (10:30 a.m.).
The Wildcats will take on Stony Brook, Binghamton University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. The same 5K course will also be the site of the 2015 America East Cross Country Championships on Oct. 31.
LAST TIME OUT
The 'Cats finished second overall with 39 points in their season opener, UNH's only home meet of 2015, against Providence College and the College of the Holy Cross (Sept. 5).

ROSIE TO START
Laura Rose Donegan (Melbourne, Australia) will make her 2015 debut at the Wolfie Invitational. Last season, she placed sixth in the America East Cross Country Championship 5K race and finished 31st at the NCAA Division I Northeast Region Cross Country Championships 6K event. The senior co-captain enters Saturday's meet following her 10th place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships (June 13), which earned Donegan Second-Team All-Conference honors.
WHY NOT START NOW
Junior Hannah Kimball (Atkinson, N.H.) and sophomore Julia Shorter (Amesbury, Mass.) will make their season debuts Saturday at Stony Brook. Kimball won gold at the 2014 New England Cross Country Championships and placed 15th overall at the 2014 conference title meet. As for Shorter, she most recently placed ninth at the USA Track & Field Junior Championships (June 29) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
ROUND TWO
Boden, Kieran and Murdock all enter Saturday's meet after placing eighth, ninth and 10th, respectively, in the season opener last weekend.
In 2014, Boden finished 10th overall in the 5K race at the America East title meet. Kieran placed 24th overall in the conference championship last season while Murdock enters her first cross country season in 2015.
New Hampshire continues its road schedule Sept. 18 at the University of Maine with a 3 p.m. start time.
