Women's Swimming & Diving Drops 199-98 Decision to Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. – Senior Jessica Little (Barrie, Ontario) and junior Shelli Reed (Hollister, Calif.) both collected first-place finishes, but the University of New Hampshire women's swimming and diving team fell to Dartmouth College, 199-98, on Saturday afternoon at Karl Michael Pool.

Reed earned a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, timing in at 24.53. She also had a strong showing in the 200-yard free, finishing in second place with a time of 1:54.69. Jenna Bull (Woodstock, New Brunswick) added a fourth-place finish in the event, touching down at 1:55.18.
New Hampshire was also impressive in the 100-yard breaststroke, as Albert claimed second place registering a time of 1:08.25. Katie Mann (Prince George, B.C.) and Little added third- and fourth-place finishes in the event, timing in at 1:08.44 and 1:09.31, respectively.
Lauren McCandless (Macungie, Pa.) chipped in with a second-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle, finishing in 10:32.98.
The Wildcats also came up with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, as Oneida Cooper (Johannesburg, South Africa), Grace Borchers (Evanston, Ill.), Mann and Reed all teamed up to clock in at 1:49.39.
The Wildcats are back in action when they take on the University of Maine on Friday, Feb. 3 (4 p.m.) at Wallace Pool.
