Dylan Laube (Westhampton, N.Y.), a junior running back on the No. 15/20 University of New Hampshire football team, has been named the CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week and recipient of the New England Football Writers Association Gold Helmet Award, which is presented by the Jack Grinold/Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
Dylan led UNH to a share of the CAA title by rushing for 190 yards and three touchdowns as part of 281 all-purpose yards in Saturday's 42-41 overtime win at the University of Maine. Both the rushing and all-purpose yardage rank second in his career and the three TDs matches a personal best.
He had a total of 39 touches with 30 rushes for 190 yards, two catches for 17 yards, four kickoff returns of 70 yards, and three punt returns for four yards. He scored on runs of 3, 15, and 48 yards.
New Hampshire (8-3, 7-1 CAA) received an at-large selection to the NCAA Division I Football Championship on Nov. 20 and will play host to No. 16/14 Fordham University in a Nov. 26 (2 p.m.) first-round game at Wildcat Stadium.
