Cecelia Tarr is currently in her third season as the diving coach for the University of New Hampshire in 2020-21. She was a major contributor to a staff that won the 2020 America East Coaching Staff of the Year.
In 2019-20, Tarr coached Allison Stefanelli to both the one and three meter gold medals at the 2020 America East Championships. Stefanelli was named the America East Most Outstanding Diver and the Wildcats won their eighth team championship in program history.
The 2018-2019 season was her first year as the diving coach as the program earned three medals at the America East Championships. She coached Stefanelli to the gold medal in the three-meter event, while Erin Cullather took bronze. Stefanelli placed third in the one-meter diving event.
Tarr was a volunteer coach with the program in the 2017-2018 season when the Wildcats swept the diving events at the America East Championships for the first time in program history. UNH also won the Team Championship. Hailee Miller won the one-meter event and Stefanelli earned the gold in the three-meter event. Miller was named the America East Most Outstanding Diver.
She also was an Assistant Diving Coach for Keene State College for the 2016-2017 season.
A standout athlete and three-year captain at Smith College, Tarr earned an automatic qualifying bid for the 2016 NCAA Championship meet. She represented the Pioneers in the NCAA Division III Diving Regional all four years of her career.
Tarr graduated from Smith College in 2016 with a degree in Psychology and minor in Sport Studies.
