Benedetta Caloro Named EISA Skier of the Week

Caloro skied to two top five finishes over the weekend at the Vermont Carnival.
DURHAM, N.H. — University of New Hampshire graduate student alpine skier Benedetta Caloro (Rome, Italy) was named women's Alpine Skier of the Week by the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association on Monday (Feb. 9).
Caloro paced the women's alpine team over the weekend, turning in two top five finishes and leading the Wildcats on both days. In the giant slalom on Thursday (Feb. 5), Caloro closed the day with a fourth-place finish, skiing in runs of 1:05.72 and 1:03.84 for a 2:09.56 finish, earning 41 EISA. The following day, Caloro finished the slalom in 56.29 and 59.01 times for a 1:55.30 result, closing her day with a career-best third place result while earning an additional 44 points
With her pair of top five results over the weekend, Caloro improves to six top ten finishes on the season, including three top five performances.

The UNH ski team continues the 2026 season at the Williams Carnival on Feb. 13, when the Nordic team competes in the freestyle 15k race at Prospect Mountain in Woodford, Vt., while the alpine team competes in the giant slalom at Jiminy Peak in Hancock, Mass.
