Julian Rime Places Second on Day 1 of Pre-Conference Invitational

Rime was second in the 800m run
RESULTS
AMHERST, Mass. – Sophomore Julian Rime (New York, N.Y.) placed second in the 800m run as the University of New Hampshire men's track and field team competed on Day 1 of the Pre-Conference Invitational at UMass.

The 'Cats were strong in the 800m run as Rime placed second out of 36 in a time of 1:53.07 and graduate student William Curran (Old Saybrook, Conn.) was fourth in a time of 1:54.68. Senior Brayden Kearns (Deerfield, N.H.) recorded a 13th-place finish in a personal best time of 1:57.89.

Sophomore Avery Cipcic (Suffield, Conn.) finished sixth in the long jump (21' 7.50").

Freshman Danny Anderson (Naugatuck, Conn.) was sixth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.71.

Freshman James Gecek (High Bridge, N.J.) placed 19th out of 40 in a PR of 22.46 in the 200m dash.

In the 1,500m run junior Samuel Hilts (Concord, N.H.) placed 28th out of 69 athletes with a personal record time of 4:01.52.

The Wildcats return to action on Sunday, April 27, when they conclude the Pre-Conference Invitational in Amherst, Mass.
