Erik Lauta Signs with Huntsville City FC

Lauta was the 2024 America East Goalkeeper of the Year
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Graduating senior goalkeeper Erik Lauta (Aptos, Calif.) of the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team has signed a contract with Huntsville City FC.
Huntsville is the affiliate of Major League Soccer's Nashville SC and is a member of MLS Next Pro. Lauta is currently on the 2025 preseason roster for Nashville SC.
Lauta won the 2024 America East Goalkeeper of the Year Award and was a First Team All-Conference selection. He also earned Second Team All-ECAC accolades.
He started in all 17 games this past season with a 7-3-7 record and six shutouts. Lauta was named the America East Defensive Player of the Week two times. His .809 save percentage was ranked 11th nationally and his .760 goals against average was 12th in the country.
Lauta was ranked No. 84 in the Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 National Player Rankings. The ranking includes sophomores, juniors and seniors from around the nation.
Lauta, who has a 4.0 GPA as a Psychology major, was named to the Academic All-America Third Team, the Academic All-District Team and the America East All-Academic Team.
The Wildcats concluded the season with a 7-3-7 overall record and a 4-1-2 mark in the conference. UNH won its sixth straight regular season championship. This was the first time in conference history that a team has won six straight.
