UNH in Eighth Place After Day 3 of NCAA Championships

Hunter Brayton led the ‘Cats with a 12th-place finish in the slalom.
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – Graduate student Hunter Brayton (Waterville Valley, N.H.) placed 12th in the slalom on Friday night under the lights at Howelsen Hill to lead the University of New Hampshire ski team on the third day of the NCAA Championships. UNH is currently in eighth overall in the standings out of 23 teams with 149 points.

RESULTS
The men's Alpine team placed sixth in the slalom with 34 points. Brayton was 12th (1:20.48) posting 19 points. Senior Hayden Dahl (Plymouth, N.H.) finished 16th (1:20.84) securing 15 points.
The women's Alpine team placed ninth in the slalom with 16 points. Sophomore Tilde Kandell (Leksand, Sweden) led the Wildcats at 19th with a combined time of 1:27.48, gaining 12 points for the team. Graduate student Cassie Lieblein (Harrisburg, Pa.) was 28th (1:29.33) picking up three points, while junior captain Zoe Michael (Sydney, Australia) was 30th (1:38.95) and received one point.
