Daniels Recognized as Player of the Year, Robinson Named to All-Conference Third Team

BOSTON – Senior forward Clarence Daniels (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) of the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team has been recognized as the America East Conference Player of the Year for the 2023-24 season. Junior guard Ahmad Robinson (West Orange, N.J.) was named to the All-Conference Third Team for his performance throughout the season.
Daniels' Player of the Year honor snaps a seven-year streak of the award going to a Vermont men's basketball player.
Daniels started in every game for the Wildcats this season. He led the team and conference in scoring for the duration of the season, ending the regular season averaging 19.6 points per game. He remained in the top three for rebounding per game, averaging 9.3 after the final regular season game. Daniels consistently led the team and remained in the top three in the conference for free throw percentage as well, finishing at .801. Daniels also recorded a team leading 12 double doubles in the regular season.
Robinson played in every game for the Wildcats, starting in all but one. Throughout the season, he had 24 games when he scored double digit points. Robinson led the team in assists, averaging 4.6 at the end of the season along with steals where he ended the season averaging 1.4 per game.
The Wildcats ended the regular season with a 15-14 overall record, 7-9 in conference. Within that, first year Head Coach Nathan Davis led the Wildcats to an undefeated home non-conference schedule. UNH secured the No. 4 seed for the second year in a row in the Jersey Mike's America East Playoffs and will play host to no. 5 Binghamton at Lundholm Gym on Saturday, March 9 at 3 p.m. CLICK HERE for tickets.
