Multiple Wildcats Record PR's to Open the Outdoor Season

LOWELL, Mass. – The UNH men's track and field team began the outdoor season competing in the Raleigh Relays hosted by N.C. State from March 28-30 and the River Hawk Invitational hosted by UMass Lowell on March 30.

Raleigh Relays Event Notebook
- Senior Joshua Hoffman (Litchfield, N.H.) placed 9th in the men's discus throwing for a distance of 50.30m.
- Sophomore Yoofi Abaka-Amuah (Worcester, Mass.) set a PR of 46.70m in the men's discus.
- Sophomore Liam McGovern (North Kingstown R.I.) finished 13th in the men's hammer with a new PR of 58.50m.
- Senior Andrew Fleming (Acton, Mass.) threw for a distance of 54.52m in the men's hammer.
River Hawk Invitational Event Notebook
- Sophomore Caden Zelanski (Milford, N.H.) placed first in the men's hammer throw with a new PR of 53.65m.
- Junior Max Rome (North Kingstown, R.I.) finished 3rd in the men's hammer throw with a distance of 48.63m
- Freshman Avery Cipcic (Suffield, Conn.) placed second in the long jump recording a PR of 7.03m
- Sophomore Max LaPointe (Amesbury, Mass.) threw for first in the men's discus with a distance of 46.01m
- Sophomore Kyran Maher (Andover, Mass.) placed 3rd in the men's pole vault, clearing 4.10m
- Senior Andrew Kelly (Portsmouth, N.H.) finished first in the men's triple jump with a distance of 13.56m
- Sophomore Jayson Blaisdell (Barrington, N.H.) threw for first in the men's javelin with a PR distance of 57.68m.
- Sophomore John Murphy (Deerfield, N.H.) finished in third place in the men's 1500m run with a time of 4:04.33.
- Sophomore Nathan Fletcher (Portsmouth, N.H.) finished third in the men's 200m dash securing a time of 22.97.
- Junior Kevin Finn (Kennebunk, Maine) placed first in the men's 3000m run, finishing with a time of 8:37.72.
