DURHAM, N.H. – The UNH men's track and field competed in the first-ever Jim Boulanger Invitational, hosted by the University of New Hampshire. This meet, which henceforth will be the first outdoor home meet of the season pays tribute to the legacy of the legendary Jim "Coach B" Boulanger.

UNH finished first overall in the meet with 153 points.

Event Notebook

Sophomore Jayson Blaisdell (Barrington, N.H.) took first place in the men's javelin throw with a PR distance of 57.89m
Sophomore Liam McGovern (North Kingstown, R.I.) placed first in the men's hammer throw with a distance of 61.00m which is a new PR. Sophomore Caden Zalenski (Milford, N.H.) recorded a PR of 60.74m
Senior Joshua Hoffman (Litchfield, N.H.) placed first in the men's discus throwing for a distance of 53.30m.
Sophomore Yoofi Abaka-Amuah (Worcester, Mass.) took first in the men's shotput where he threw for 16.82m
Senior Andrew Kelly (Portsmouth, N.H.) finished first in the men's high jump, clearing a distance of 1.96m.
Freshman Gunnar Sokol (Berwick, Maine) secured first place in the men's long jump with a distance of 6.87m.
Sophomore John Murphy (Deerfield, N.H.) finished first in the men's 1500m run recording a time of 4:00.29.
Junior Kevin Finn took first in the men's 800m run in a photo-finish with Graduate Student Aidan O'Hern (Concord, N.H.) and junior Aidan Shea (Amherst, Mass.) they recorded times of 1:53.41, 1:53.42, and 1:53.67 respectively.

The 'Cats will return to action on Wednesday, April 10 where they will be taking place in the UMass Multi Meet, Hosted by UMass Amherst!
