UNH in First Place After Day 1 of America East Championships

Wildcats win silver in both relays.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The Wildcats won silver in both the 800 free relay and 200 medley relay as the University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team is currently in first place after day one of the four-day America East Championships at the VMI Aquatic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
800 FREESTYLE RELAY
The team of sophomore Ella Guilfoil (Fairport, N.Y.), senior captain Abby McKinney (Westfield, N.J.), freshman Emily Wright (Ventura, Calif.) and sophomore Carolyn Nelson (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) won silver in the 800 free relay with a time of 7:24.27 as the 'Cats were just edged by Vermont with a time of 7:24.15.
ONE-METER DIVING
Freshman Grace Blume (Dedham, Mass.) placed fourth in the one-meter diving event with a score of 239.50 and freshman Jess DeLorm (Vernon Hills, Ill.) was fifth with a score of 226.75.
200 MEDLEY RELAY
The 200 medley relay team of Guilfoil, Wright, junior captain Chiara Maria Pradissitto (Milan, Italy) and sophomore Audrey Mahoney (Downers Grove, Ill.) took silver with a time of 1:41.83 finishing just behind Binghamton (1:41.51).
