Wildcats Add Defending National Champion UConn to 2023-24 Schedule

UNH to visit UConn on Monday, Nov. 27, in first meeting since 2019
DURHAM, N.H.– The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team will play a road non-conference game against the defending NCAA national champion University of Connecticut on Monday, Nov. 27, the schools announced Tuesday.
The Wildcats and Huskies last played each other in Dec. 2019.
"Having the opportunity to play against the defending national champions and a blue-blood program like UConn will be great for our program," said Nathan Davis, UNH first-year head coach. "There is no doubt it will be a great challenge, but I am looking forward to the opportunity to see how our team performs against Coach Hurley's team."
The 2023-24 Wildcats return America East All-Conference Second Team selection Clarence Daniels and All-Rookie Team selection Ridvan Tutic. Daniels averaged 10.7 rebounds per game that led the America East last season, while Tutic's 4.9 rebounds per game ranked second among freshmen in the conference.
UNH opens its season at ACC opponent Syracuse in the JMA Wireless Dome on Monday, Nov. 6 (Time TBA) for the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The Wildcats play their home opener versus Curry College on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in Lundholm Gym.
