DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's soccer head coach Steve Welham has announced the addition of two transfers for the 2023 season in Katie Oliver and Megan Logue.
Oliver joins the Wildcats from Radford University while Logue joins from Central Michigan.
The Wildcats added Chloe DeLyser to the roster this past Spring. To read about DeLyser, click HERE.
Oliver, a Leesburg, Virginia native, spent four seasons at Radford University. She played 56 games in her career as a Highlander, starting in 38 of them. She totalled 2987 minutes of playing time. Oliver will join the team as a forward. Oliver was a two-time Big South Champion with the Highlanders. In her senior season, she contributed to the Championship with scoring a goal and tallying three assists. In her junior year she tallied eight assists and put up a career high 14 shots, eight of them landing on goal. Overall, Katie tallied 12 assists and 2 goals during her time at Radford.
Logue, a Naples, Florida native, comes from Central Michigan University after spending three seasons as a Chippewa. In her three seasons she played 41 games, starting 33 of them. She combined for 3215 minutes played. In her junior season although being a defender she led the team in goals with four and achieved Academic All-MAC honors. In her sophomore season, Logue started all 18 games, recording three shots including one on goal. She was named to All-MAC Second Team and again earned Academic All-MAC honors for CMU.
"We are so excited to bring Katie and Megan to Wildcat Country! Both young women are wonderful players, outstanding students and above all great people. Katie brings electric pace to Durham combined with technical ability and has proven collegiate experience not only by scoring points but also winning multiple championships. Megan is a tenacious defender who is dominant in the air and has proven ability in the back line where she has earned all-conference honors in a very competitive league. We are looking forward to their contributions this Fall season and beyond."
Oliver, Logue and DeLyser (Spring of 2023) join the 2022 America East Champions for the 2023 campaign with the goal of competing for another conference championship. The reigning champions will be back in preseason starting Aug. 1.
