‘Cats Record Multiple Top-5 finishes at America East Indoor Championships

BOSTON, MASS. - The University of New Hampshire women's track and field team saw multiple student-athletes achieve new personal records as the team competed in the America East Indoor Championships at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston this weekend.
The Wildcats finished the weekend with 43.50 points as a team, coming in seventh place overall.
RESULTS
FIELD EVENTS
Freshman Calli Ogurkis set a new personal best in the pole vault with a height of 10' 6.25" (3.21m) to finish sixth in the conference.
Graduate student Sarah Williams (Dover, N.H.) placed fifth in the weight throw with a toss of 59' 11" (18.27m) while freshman Lindsay Isaacs (Rutland, Mass.) set a new personal-best, reaching a distance of 44' 0" (13.41m).
Sophomore Autumn Agri (Stratham, N.H.) competed in the triple jump, finishing with a distance of 39' 0.5" (11.90m), tallying a fourth-place finish and a new personal best.
In the Pentathlon, freshman Kristen Kirk finished seventh overall with 2,755 points. Out of the five events she competed in, her best individual mark was in the 800m run, finishing second with a time of 2:33.83. She also set new PRs in four of the five events, as well as a new high score when competing in the Pentathlon.
Also competing in the Pentathlon was sophomore Teagan O'Brien (Pawcatuck, Conn.) who set two personal bests and placed second in the shot put portion of the event with a throw of 31' 4.5" (9.56m).
TRACK EVENTS
On day 1 of the championships, the team of junior Hannah Langstaff (Windham, Maine), freshman Liliana Chirichella (Troy, N.H.), senior Cailey Archer (Berthoud, Colo.), and junior Emma York (Penacook, N.H.) placed fifth in the distance medley race with a time of 12:10.86.
Graduate student Nicole Yeomans (Foxborough, Mass.) finished third in the 1-mile race with a time of 4:57.40. In her three appearances running the mile at America East Indoor Championships, she has placed third twice now and won the event last year.
With a time of 2:17.73, sophomore Claire Ronan (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y) set a new personal-best and finished in fourth place in the 800m run.
Competing in the 3000m run, sophomore Jill Walker (Simi Valley, Calif.) came in third place with a time of 9:51.69. Fellow sophomore Alice Larsen (Hinesburg, Vt.) achieved a new PR in the 3000m run, finishing at 11:17.21.
The team of Archer, York, Langstaff, and Ronan competed in the 4x800m relay on Sunday afternoon and came in second place, clocking in at 9:11.53.

The Wildcats return to action on Friday, March 3 for the IC4A/ECAC Championships with the conclusion of the competition happening on Sunday, March 5.
