Groman Scores 18 in Loss at UMBC

BALTIMORE, M.D. – Junior guard Adara Groman scored 18 points for the Wildcats as the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team fell to UMBC, 90-43 in Baltimore on Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats' record falls to 7-19 (2-12 AE) and UMBC's improves to 13-13 (10-5 AE).

FIRST QUARTER:
· UMBC got on the board first with a floater, but junior guard Adara Groman (Hopkinton, Mass.) answered with a jump shot to tie.
· The Retrievers went on a 27-1 run, expanded their lead to 29-6.
SECOND QUARTER:
· The Wildcats collected a quick six points early in the quarter, forcing a timeout form UMBC.
· Freshman guard Breezie Williams (Canton, Ohio) went on a 5-0 run for the Wildcats, cutting into the UMBC lead.
· Groman hit a deep buzzer beater three to send the teams into halftime.
THIRD QUARTER:
· Groman sank two floaters in the third aiding in her team leading 18 points in the game.
· Freshman forward Lucia Melero (Barcelona, Spain) tied her game high, six-points in the contest.
FOURTH QUARTER:
· Two Wildcats went 100% from the free throw line, freshman guard Aina Roque (Cervera, Spain) and Groman.
