‘Cats Drop Game Versus Vermont, 43-36

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team fell to Vermont, 43-36 on Wednesday evening from Lundholm.
Freshman guard Avery O'Connor (Dedham, Mass.) lead the team with 12 points while junior guard Adara Groman (Hopkinton, Mass.) collected seven rebounds for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats' record falls to 7-18 (2-11 AE) and Vermont's improves to 19-6 (11-2 AE).

FIRST QUARTER:
· Groman drained a three right off the tipoff that was won by junior center Paige Cote (Sanford, Maine) just seven seconds into the game.
· UNH held Vermont from scoring for two minutes into the quarter, carrying the momentum to the end of the quarter with a 12-6 lead.
SECOND QUARTER:
· The 'Cats continued their run into the second quarter, holding possession for more than half of the quarter.
· UVM took the lead in the second, extending their lead off a 9-0 run.
THIRD QUARTER:
· UNH tallied 21 rebounds and drained 11 points in the third.
· The Wildcats went for a 7-0 run to bring the score within 3 to UVM.
FOURTH QUARTER:
· O'Connor tallied a total of 30 minutes played and 12 points scored.
· The Wildcats sunk four three-pointers, O'Connor and Groman both had two.
