DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's hockey team recorded 27 shots on goal during Friday night's 6-0 loss to Providence College at the Whittemore Center Key Auto Group Complex.
UNH starting goaltender Sedona Blair (Eden Prairie, Minn.) had 13 saves and Ava Hills (Pembroke, N.H.) had 10. Blair allowed four goals in 32:41 and was charged with the loss.
Providence's Reichen Kirchmair had four points (two goals, two assists) and Rachel Weiss had three (one goal, two assists). Goalie Mireille Kingsley was credited with 27 saves.
The Wildcats, who entered the game on a three-game win streak, fall to 9-8-1 overall and 6-6-1 in Hockey East. Providence is now 6-11-1, 4-7-1.

FIRST PERIOD
- UNH outshot the Friars 13-10 in the opening 20 minutes.
- At 11:09, Marina Alvarez (Center Moriches, N.Y) dangled past a defender and released a backhanded shot on net that was stopped by Kingsley.
- With 7:03 left in the first period, Kirchmair scored off a pass across the net from Lindsay Bochna.
- Danika Botterill (Portage La Prairie, Man.) had a shot that just missed the net and hit the crossbar with under five minutes left in the period.
- Nicole Kelly (Brantford, Ontario) wristed a shot that just missed wide with 4:10 to go.
- Providence received the first penalty of the game for holding at 16:56.
- With just 12 seconds left, Mégane Quirion scored off an assist from Weiss.
SECOND PERIOD
- PC had a shot advantage of 10-1 over UNH in the second period.
- The Friars received the second penalty of the game at 15:37 for high sticking.
- Weiss scored off a pass into the slot with 11:52 left.
- Kirchmair, assisted by Weiss, scored her second goal of the game at 12:41.
- The Friars' fourth goal prompted UNH to switch goalies from Blair to Hills.
THIRD PERIOD
- UNH had a 13-7 edge in shots in the final frame.
- Kirchamir flicked the puck to Bochna, who scored the fifth goal for Providence at 3:12.
- Providence went on a power play at 8:53 and UNH did not allow any shots on goal.
- Lily Hendrikson scored from an assist by KC Brooks at 18:07.
