DURHAM, N.H. – The 200 free relay team set a new Swasey Pool record and the Wildcats won eight of the 10 events as the University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team leads Central Connecticut, 128.5-57.5 after day one of a two day meet.
"We had a great session this evening as we broke the Swasey Pool record in the 200 free relay by nearly a second," said head coach Josh Willman. "We had some great swims from Megumi Komoto, Audrey Mahoney and Ella Guilfoil. Looking forward to a great morning."

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The 200 free relay team of sophomore Audrey Mahoney (Downers Grove, Ill.), senior captain Abby McKinney (Westfield, N.J.), junior captain Chiara Maria Pradissitto (Milan, Italy) and junior Annie Jencova (Waikanae, New Zealand) started the meet by setting a new pool record with a time of 1:35.47 breaking the previous record of 1:36.58 which was set by UNH in 2022.
- Sophomore Ella Guilfoil (Fairport, N.Y.), who is the reigning America East Swimmer of the Week, won two events. She placed first in the 200 free (1:54.39) and the 200 IM (2:05.90). Her time in the 200 free was a career best.
- Junior Megumi Komoto (Schaumburg, Ill.) was outstanding as she won the 200 fly with a career-best time of 2:05.87.
- Mahoney took the 50 free (23.83) and sophomore Sophia Routzahn (Frederick, Md.) won the 100 breast (1:05.06).
- Freshman Grace Blume (Dedham, Mass.) recorded a first-place finish in the one-meter diving event (241.88).
- The 400 medley relay team of freshman Kylie Boyle (Ashburn, Va.), Routzahn, Pradissitto and McKinney concluded the night by posting a winning time of 3:54.32.
